  • 2 Tbsp white granulated sugar
  • 2¼ tsp instant yeast
  • ⅓ cup lactose-free yogurt (plant-based for vegan)
  • 3 Tbsp butter (plant-based for vegan)
  • 3/4 cups warm water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix gluten-free flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
  2. Add yogurt, melted butter, and warm water; mix until slightly sticky dough forms.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (40-60 minutes).
  4. Divide dough into 8 pieces and roll each into an oval about 3/8 inch thick.
  5. Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat; lightly grease and cook each naan until bubbles form and both sides are browned.
  6. Keep cooked naan covered with a tea towel to maintain warmth.
