  • 4 cups salted chicken broth
  • 1-inch piece of ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 8 oz ground beef
  • 8 oz shrimp (peeled)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (divided)
  • 2 green onions

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring the salted chicken broth to a boil with ginger and two garlic cloves. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Use a food processor to blend shrimp, ground beef, half of the sesame oil, two garlic cloves, and one green onion until well combined.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and shape the mixture into small meatballs. Bake them in a baking dish for 20-25 minutes until browned.
  4. Strain out ginger and garlic from the broth. Add meatballs, remaining sesame oil, and last chopped green onion back into the pot. Simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes before serving.
