  • 1 medium cauliflower (cut into florets)
  • 1/3 cup rice flour
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/31/4 cup water
  • 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice apple vinegar
  • 12 tbsp Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1" fresh ginger (finely minced)
  • 45 cloves fresh garlic (finely minced)
  • 23 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • spring onions for garnish
  • sliced chilies for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, create a batter by combining rice flour, cornstarch, and water.
  3. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter until well-coated and arrange them in a single layer on a greased baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. While baking, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, Sriracha, ginger, garlic, honey/maple syrup, cornstarch, and water in another bowl.
  6. Once the cauliflower is done baking, drizzle with the sauce and toss to coat evenly before returning to bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Serve warm garnished with sesame seeds and sliced chilies.
